Garani Yosyp (1921-2009)
Was born on March 16, 1921 in the village of Vuzlove, Berehovo, Transcarpathia.
One of the brightest representatives of the Transcarpathian school of painting. Disciple and follower of Y. Bokshai and A. Erdeli. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1962. Participant of the regional and all-Ukrainian exhibitions. Author of the picturesque landscapes, genre scenes and still lifes. He worked in easel, watercolor and pastel painting. The artist`s works can be found at the Transcarpathian Art Museum named after Y. Bokshai as well as in other museum and private collections.
He died in 2009.
